One Potato, Two Potato...

........Three Potatos, Four

Balloons can be a lot of fun on their own without covers.

Using balloons to play 'Hot potatoes' allows our little ones to experience success at this game - which is to tap the balloon aloft continuously. Counting skills could be practised - and with older children, suggest counting backwards from 20 etc. With more than one child - as a party game - aim to work as a team to keep the ball off the floor.

When they are ready for it, put the balloon cover on to make it a more challenging experience - at which point, introducing the volleyball 'set' action would be ideal. Eventually, do this activity with a light volleyball.  Agility is required to get under the balloonball.

Space is needed for this activity. Remind little ones about their 'bubble' space discussed in 'Find a spot of your own'.

.....Five Potatoes, Six Potatoes
Keep it off the floor.
